Software

I attended The Ohio State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science & Engineering. I also received minors in both Business & Japanese.

I've worked on many projects using many different technologies including Java, Python, Groovy, Perl, Ruby, JavaScript, Clojure and others. Right now I am focused on functional programming, specifically Clojure.

I am passionate about delivering quality software at ludicrous speed. I believe in collaborative thinking in an open community based on trust, teamwork, and transparency.

Topics such as clean code, TDD, pair programming and continuous learning excite me to no end.

Music

I started playing the drums in the 6th grade; taking private lessons and playing in the school concert band. While attending high school, I marched in the Centerville Jazz Band and the Centerville Winter Percussion where we competed in various BOA and WGI events.

While in college, I played in a band with friends and learned to play the acoustic guitar and bass guitar. I still pick up the guitars from time to time.

Recently, I have picked up the ukulele as a hobby instrument.
